Interesting plot between two very different civilizations after radiation and global warming. The North versus the South Outliers who are weaker but try to overtake the Tall ones and Brains. Two young lovers fear the elders won't approve of their union because of genetic differences. Ms. Casey is excellent on characterization. This book will take you to another world and details on how to survive.

I found it hard to put down. I wanted to know what happens next. It is interesting to know how to survive without technology. Will there be a sequel?
